After two beautiful days it looks like mother nature has decided to play a cruel trick and have us yet again reaching for our sweaters. Thankfully it was still sunny so I used this opportunity to do some much needed yard work. I was limited to Henry’s nap times of course but I got a lot done.

Despite this cold snap I know it won’t be long before I’ll be in full grilling mode and will almost refuse to use my oven or cook anything on the stove. Before that happens I’m squeezing in the last of the warm comfort foods. Today it was brussel sprouts and lap cheong (a sweet Chinese sausage). I love brussel sprouts – steamed, roasted, sautéed – you name it!

Today I sautéed them in coconut oil with lap cheong (a sweet Chinese sausage) and toped it off with a little hoisin and sriracha sauce. Pure deliciousness!
